Plot Summary
You arrive in Tower Country to find an entire civilization devoted to raising stone skyward, no one remembers why, yet all hands labor upward. When Kino meets a boy asking the same questions she does, a brief, haunting exchange becomes a meditation on work, meaning, and the spaces between knowing and doing.
